.: Commuting Stories :.

Hi there!

Wow I seriously have no idea when was the last time I’ve added a post here, but between being really busy at work and any time left for my daughter, all my “hobbies” were on stand-still. No time to write and no time for photos. I really missed both.

I guess it helps that I’m on holidays and this week she’s at the nursery πŸ˜€ (this is a once a year event)

Anyway, I started to take photos again but all from my phone, but I still wanted to share them because they remind me that “the best camera is the one you have with you” and it’s all about paying attention to your surroundings and properly watch what goes around you and take time to appreciate what’s so close to us. All the photos are different, however they are all from the pretty much the same daily commuting journey.

Flight to Lux (ok, this is not from my daily commute)

And on the same evening

On my way to the nursery:

Train to waterloo

Walk to the station

On my way to the office

My old commute before I changed house in October

All taken from my phone as I don’t carry my camera to work. Do you ever take photos on your daily commute?

Have a lovely Xmas break πŸ™‚

.: Sunset walk in Richmond :.

One of my favourite walks has to be a walk along the Thames from Kew to Richmond. As it was a Friday and I was keen on taking some sunset photos we’ve ended up parking in Richmond and walking just around Richmond.

As we were Β both starving, we’ve ended up going to one of our favourite places in Richmond: Pig’s Ears. If you are a fan of beer, please do visit this place! It’s heaven!

I had a delicious risotto, but also recommend the burgers and the meat in general. This time forgot to take some pictures.

Kwak – Ginger belgium beer

I had a stout, which tasted really like coffee πŸ˜€ The ginger was admittedly the night’s favourite and recommended by the staff. So good!

Service was excellent as usual. This is really such a perfect place to go in Richmond πŸ™‚

After dinner he wanted to do some long exposures. I have to admit this is not my sweet spot in terms of photography and mostly I don’t like them. But it was such an amazing night I could only join!

If you had to select one place for a walk on a Friday night where would you go? Looking forward to your suggestions πŸ™‚

.: One week ago – Watching the sunset :.

I have to admit I’m quite delayed in my posts and in my photo editing. I guess it doesn’t help that we’ve started to pack and I’ve been away from home the whole week. Finally managed to go through my photos from last week.

Last Friday I was working from home, so after I stopped working we’ve decided to go for a walk and take some photos. It was beautiful! Such a golden skyline, ahhh, I love to live in Chiswick (well, almost!) πŸ˜€

The Pub

Dog Statue

The Swan

Quack Quack

Where’s me boat?

Enjoy your weekend! I definitely need some rest!

.: Walking on the sunset :.

On my first day of my holidays I also had the most amazing sunset this year!

My sister took us to her relaxing zen spot, and I have to say I was amazed!

Unfortunately we were not prepared, so we didn’t took the tripod with us. I would have achieved better results if I had one

Around 18h30

Inspiring view isn’t it?

My sis in her zen moment

Love the white rocks

Reflections on the water

Amazing orange tones around 19h00

Inspiring isn’t it? What’s your magical place? Do you have any favourite spot you would like to share?

.: Food moments in Lisbon Part I :.

One of the highlights of being in Lisbon has to be the food! Amazing smells and food everywhere you go. So this was precisely what we’ve done as soon as we’ve landed: Portuguese breakfast

Torradas | Toast with proper bread

And coffee with milk

Our coffee with milk a lot stronger than I’m used to

Then some grocery shopping… ahhhh all the fresh fish available in the supermarket, wants!!! We went for a walk and watch one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen (I’ll share it as soon as I’ve checked all the photos)

Ok Ok just a sample, here you go

zen moment

Gorgeous, isn’t it?

For dinner we’ve decided to go to a traditional portuguese restaurant, famous for the steak in stone:

@Paco de Carnide

Black Iberian pig – the meat was simply delicious!!!

The meat was absolutely divine! There is always space for pudding!

Cookie cake

This is just day one! Expect a lot more food-posts very shortly

.: Experiments & Pizza :.

For the last few days we’ve been taking photos together as for the first time, I have a tripod. Most of the places are just next door, like Kew Bridge or Richmond. Trouble is it’s been too cold! (Which means I will start 2015 with my cold from before Christmas). Oh well.

And our last meal of 2014 ended up being a Stone baked Pizza @ Revolution Richmond. Not as good as Franco Manca, but I love this place πŸ˜€

What was your last meal in 2014? Anything delicious?

Wish you all a happy new year (with or without resolutions – I’ve just done mine). Very simply for 2015 I want to explore more, take more photos, discover new places and enjoy the journey πŸ™‚

.: Home :.

Hello everyone! How was your Christmas? Hope all of you managed to get a good time with your family and friends, even for those that may not celebrate Christmas.

As every year I went to my parents for Christmas and oh boy, I had the gift of sunshine! Yap, the except for yesterday evening the weather was simply amazing. For both days we had walks along the beach with my family and certainly that was worth pure gold! All the photos were taken with my phone

Oh I surely miss this view already!
